Teachers & Curriculum

As students attested in their oral history interviews, teachers were at the heart and soul Harlem Prep. Who made up the diverse set of faculty (and administrators)? Why were they drawn to Harlem Prep and what were their experiences? And, what classes did they teach -- and what classes were offered more broadly? The goal of this page is to try and reconstruct the teachers and curriculum from 1967 to 1974, the best that we can, with the remaining documents we have.

Please contact me if you have information and/or would like to provide information about a teacher or class. This is a work in a progress!
